You might be interested, or maybe already know...? 
Greg Mortenson is a? Tanzania-grown Montana kid (51 yrs old now),?
his dad co-founded the Kili Christian Medical College,
and his mom founded the Moshi International school.??? 

He has founded (many) children?schools in pakistan & afghanistan, and his book 
"three cups of tea" is standard?military and college reading (probably you read it Steve?)

I'm maybe last to know.
but i'm just beginning to read his book - 
and i'm always interested in the adventures of MK's

Steve if you see him tell him?HURRAY for his work for us.?

I'm reading three cups of tea as well.? i believe there is another book recently out about more in his work in Pakistan and Afghanistan.? What do you think?? I have to say that I am very impressed by the man.

Speaking of impressed by men, I saw the movie Invictus over the weekend.? I realize it is a dramatization, though of a true story, but Nelson Mandela was a pretty inspirational character as well.? Besides, the movie has rugby in it.

Always love a book recommendation! Thanks Julie. That one is on my list. I got one for Christmas that was delightful for those of us who grew up in East Africa: Baking Cakes in Kigali?by Gaile Parkin. The message isn't uber-deep, but it is a fun read, and reminds us of the long term effects of genocide on a society while still being humorous and hopeful.
Can't wait to see Invictus - my 15 year old said,"but it isn't a sport movie, it's a political movie" To which I responded, "but it has RUGBY in it!"?

The most fun i've had?at a movie in a long time is?3D?Avatar -? human creativity is delightful.????
(?3D Wonderland with J. Depp will be good fun too.) 
the graphics are definitely based in amazon flora and i promise you'll walk out?feeling you could leap from trees and fly on dragons...

i wonder if i'll see patients 3D on telemed in this lifetime... i dont even like?2d yet -?too slow still -?like skype.

Hey Julie: Not to sure I will run into Greg because if hes in Afghanastan he's more than probably hanging around Kabul or Bagram doing his good works. And maybe Jenn will get that book so I can read it.
